Jon Ensor was born in Oxford, England. He began performing magic at the age of 8, and set up as a professional at the age of 16. He has been a full-time professional entertainer since the year 2000.
Jon entertained mostly for the English aristocracy during his first years as a professional, before branching into corporate entertainment when he moved to Norway in 2010. He has since established himself as one of the most successful corporate entertainers in the Norwegian events market, despite remaining a relatively low profile in the media.
Jon started his career as a magician, and magic is still at the core of most of his work. As an event host, he uses his skills as a magician to entertain and engage his audiences, depending on the event, and as a speaker his talks are largely based around his experiences as a magician, and his insights are demonstrated using entertaining elements of his act.
Jon has appeared on Norwegian national television on several occasions, including guest appearances on NRK’s top rating Saturday night shows Lindmo and Big Bang.
Notable performances include the King and Queen of Norway’s 80th birthday celebration in 2017, renowned businessman Petter Stordalen’s star-studded wedding in Marrakech in 2010, and private events for HM Queen Elisabeth II, HRH Prince Charles, and other European and middle eastern Royalty. His current theatre show, “The Stranger at Sommerro” is running in Oslo, Norway, and due to the high demand for tickets, it is currently looking to extend the run into 2024.
In addition to speaking, hosting, and entertaining, Jon has provided speaker coaching and speech preparation services for business leaders and Royalty. He has also worked as a producer leading full production teams, creating spectacular events for 5000-9000 delegates and TV audiences, and working with and coaching many stage performers.
